W-2s.Payroll for construction can be one of the most complex of all accounting functions. Overhead allocation to jobs, government reporting, unions, taxes, multi-state, worker's compensation and variable pay rates can combine to make payroll alone reason enough to computerize your accounting system. CONTRACTOR III PLUS Payroll handles all the varied complexities of construction payroll with ease and efficiency. And because every construction company has different needs and different methods, CONTRACTOR III PLUS Payroll can be tailored exactly to fit your company.
CONTRACTOR III PLUS Payroll can accommodate any pay period used. Before each payday, add any new employees to the system, then enter timesheets using one of three timesheet entry programs depending on the type of timesheet you use. Timesheet information may be entered on a daily basis, as it comes in, or all at once. Within a single pay period, a construction worker may work at many different wage rates at a variety of jobs, each with its own craft and union requirements. He may even switch states and need taxes maintained for one state and worker's compensation withheld for another. All these variations are handled simply with a minimum of key strokes. In addition to your interests, void checks from previous payrolls, handwritten checks, one-time deductions, reimbursements, etc. may all be entered. Then a proof listing may be run. This will list all payroll information as it has been entered with a complete set of totals and hash totals to allow the operator every means of ensuring that entries are accurate.
With CONTRACTOR III PLUS, voiding paychecks is as simple as typing the check number and the employee number. The computer will find the original check and timesheet information and cause the next posting to remove the pay and allocated burden from the job. including FICA. FUTA, etc.
Once the information is entered, the computer will do the rest. All costs will be distributed to the assigned job phases or General Ledger accounts. Taxes, accruals, union fringes and deductions will be calculated and the overhead distributed proportionately over the job phases or accumulated in a single account on the job or in the General Ledger. Union information is sent to the union file, and Employee Records are updated. Detailed breakdowns are printed for each employee. Summaries are produced for every phase of the payroll: taxes, accruals, worker's compensation, General Ledger transactions, and charges to job Costing and Equipment Costing. Paychecks and a check register are printed. Certified Payroll reports conforming to Davis-Bacon requirements and EEOC reports may be requested.
Employee Record Listings in full detail or summary, Union Reports by employee or fringe type, Quarterly Payroll Reports and W-2s may be called for on a monthly, quarterly, annual, or as- needed basis.
