Great Case, but foam is ok.
I have about a dozen similar cases from other manufacturers, so I'm no stranger to the genre. I just got this sturdy waterproof case and it seems great. The "pick-n-pluck' foam is only the center of the stack (see photo). In my other cases, the bottom foam was solid (as it is here) only much thinner (I guess that could be good or bad). Here the top foam (not talking about foam in the lid) is also solid which is unusual and makes it more difficult to customize the layout. For my application here (a Monarch Stroboscope), I'll need to take a knife to the upper foam to make the proper cutouts for the device. With my other cases, the pick-n-pluck foam is both the middle and top pieces. The foam situation might be different, but the case is still of good quality and meets all my expectations.

This is more than a firearm case.
I use this waterproof camera case to transport photography strobes and accessories. The latches are large and sturdy. The lip seal appears to be substantial. Hinges are solid. It's heavier than I thought it would be, but the weight contributes to the strength of the case. It even has adaptable padlock hasps that makes it easy to pass through TSA. I even had the occasion to have to use the pressure equalization valve on a trip. The case was buttoned up at 11,500' ASL. When trying to reopen it at 2,500' ASL with all of the latches released it would not open. Unscrewing the pressure relief was followed by a quick rush of air and it then opened fine. Testament to the lip seal. I'm very happy with the purchase. I will buy more of these for transporting my cameras and lenses.
